Quick Delivery from D247, from the illustrations it appeared to be thicker, but probably not really required, certainly is more robust than the standard thin mike cable DPA fit, just a misplaced foot, or snag would render that cable u/s. Happy with purchase and peace of mind.
I use the dpa mic for cello and it's fab. The cable that came with the mic is this one. It's good but needs to be treated with love and respect. It's not that robust for stage work.
Get yourself some spares! They're delicate and you don't want crackling to start the hour before a gig.
'Heavy duty' could lull you into a false sense of security. Carry a spare.
