Instrument microphone for double bass
The d:vote CORE 4099B with Loud SPL is a unique clip-instrument microphone with the musical performance of the legendary DPA studio microphones.
The d:vote CORE 4099B mounting system is optimized for double bass for the best possible stability and audio performance. The capsule can be ideally placed between the bridge and fingerboard between the E- and G-string underneath the bridge to achieve the perfect combination of natural string sound and high sound separation on stage.
DPA d:vote CORE 4099B BassGreat for studio and live. The mounting is a great fit and the mic sounds fantastic; great response right across the instrument.
Wish there was a cleverer way to mount the XLR connector directly to the bass though; I removed the belt clip and used the gap in the housing to cable tie it onto the tailpiece. A bit scrappy but it works.
