In 1967, Danelectro introduced the "Electric Sitar", combining the essence of a traditional sitar with playability of an electric guitar. The Danelectro Baby Sitar pays homage to this iconic instrument, featuring a hollow maple body and the distinctive "thermometer" headstock found in the original 1960s models. To make it easy for guitarists to explore the sitar sound, the Baby Sitar comes with six strings and standard tuning. Furthermore, this truly unique instrument offers high-quality components in the form of a special sitar bridge from Gotoh and a vintage 'Lipstick' pickup in the bridge position.
