Compact head with typical Darkglass sound
The Darkglass Microtubes 200 packs the typical Darkglass sound into a handy 200 watt top that, weighing less than a kilo, can easily be taken along to every rehearsal and gig. In addition to the proven B3K Microtubes Engine for sound generation, Darkglass relies for the m200 Head on a contemporary Class D power amplifier for amazingly high volume reserves, while a DI-Out as well as aux-in and headphone connections complete the equipment.
Microtubes Engine
At the heart of the Microtubes 200 Head is the Microtubes Engine, inspired by the legendary B3K pedal, which not only provides rich clean sounds, but also the unmistakable Darkglass Distortion and its enormous assertiveness even at the lowest tunings. While the gain and blend pots allow you to adjust the distortion and the ratio of clean and drive signal, the active 4-band tone control with 12 dB Boost or cut per frequency band allows you to precisely tune the timbre.
All setting options for the sound of the Darkglass Microtube 200 are located on the clearly arranged front panel.
200 watt power amplifier, practical equipment
The contemporary Class D power amplifier of the Darkglass Microtubes 200 top unit provides sufficient volume reserves for band rehearsals and small gigs with up to 200 watts of power. A practical detail is the combination jack, which allows the connection of bass cabinets via speaker cables with speaker twist and jack plugs. In addition, Darkglass equips the head with a practical XLR DI output for direct recording, a headphone jack for silent play Bass and an aux-in for the output of backing tracks.
Besides the combo jack for connecting the bass speakers and the balanced DI-out, the back of the Darkglass m200 houses the headphone jack and the aux-in.
