The Dean Markley 2557 Blue Steel D-Tune Electric Guitar Strings .013 - .056 is a set of cryogenically treated 6-string nickel plated steel round wound electric guitar strings, with a gauge of .013 - .056. Long life through shock freezing at -148°C. Through this method; the molecule density is increased and so the strings are made more resistant to corrosion. The strings are 8% nickel. A string with extraordinary durability, but unlike most conventional strings with treated or coated surfaces, there is no effect to the sound or playability.
