Digitech DOD Badder Monkey Overdrive
With the Badder Monkey, DigiTech is not just reissuing the legendary Bad Monkey overdrive but expanding the original concept with modern tonal options. At its core is the classic Bad Monkey overdrive circuit, known for its distinctive gain and EQ character, now enhanced with two additional overdrive paths called Behaved and Badder. The highlight is the new patent-pending 360° barrel control, which allows two of the three circuits to be blended continuously. An extra mini-switch provides phase-parallel or phase-inverted blending, while the Troop mode engages all three overdrive circuits at once. The Badder Monkey thus spans a wide range from light crunch to thick rock overdrives, and it also works perfectly as a gain boost for already distorted amps.
