With the Digitech Nautila, the guitar effects specialists belonging to the Harman Group present a versatile effect pedal for electric guitar that combines two of the most popular modulation effects: Chorus and Flanger. The Digitech Nautila offers unique sound shaping options, including infinitely variable waveforms for modulation.
The Digitech Nautila's unique options allow you to explore a wide range of sounds, from gently modulating vintage chorus to flat sounds with synthy-like articulation to the wildly rotating helicopter sound. At the heart of this are the controls for drift and voices. Via drift, the waveform of the effect modulation can be continuously switched between sine, triangle and logarithm, whereby the character of chorus or flanger can be permanently changed. Voices, on the other hand, regulates the number of voices involved in the effect between one and eight for the chorus and one and four for the flanger.
In chorus mode, the Digitech Nautila's Emphasis knob controls the insertion threshold of the integrated high-pass filter, which channels low frequencies past the effect. Guitarists, but especially bassists, will be pleased with this option, because the low end is not processed by the effect, but the pressure and definition of the entire sound remain. In Flanger mode, however, the Emphasis control influences the regeneration and thus the intensity of the effect.
In addition to the deep sound options, the Digitech Nautila's classic speed and depth controls allow classic control of effect speed and depth. The modulation speed can also be controlled in real time by pressing and holding the footswitch, in this case as a momentary switch. Thanks to the stereo inputs and outputs, the sound diversity of the Digitech Nautila can be enjoyed with almost tangible three-dimensionality.
