The Digitech Whammy Ricochet Guitar Effects Pedal is a guitar effects pedal with 7 pitch selections, allowing the guitarist to alternate their pitch in controlled or irregular shifts. This handy pedal provides all the whammy action without the need of a treadle. The Ricochet is controlled simply by holding down on the foot switch and selecting from the 7 pitch selections: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, Octave, Double Octave, and Octave and Dry. There is also a toggle switch to select up or down. The Whammy Ricochet features a latching footswitch mode to rise or fall to pitch and stay there. An LED ladder constantly shows shift trajectory.

If you are looking for a whammy pedal this is it! It’s compact, fits your pedalboard and it gives you most of the sounds you expect from the original whammy. You still have control over the sweep without having the expression pedal attached to it, i am really impressed and very happy with it, and the price is much better too! I used to have the original whammy and for what i need which is just a couple of sounds i prefer this one better.
I hesitated between this and the Drop, and the TC alternatives, in order to replace a Micro POG. The sound is quite natural, and I'm able to play a faux bass with my guitar effortlessly. The options available are excellent, and the only interesting addition would be an expression input. That's the only reason to take a star out of all the ratings; apart from that, it's perfect.
