Doepfer A-111-5v Mini Synthesizer Voice

Monophonic synth voice module

Doepfer A-111-5v Mini Synthesizer Voice is a synth voice module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The module can almost be called Eurorack version of the Doepfer Dark Energy I, because it is based on the same chips. Just like the original, the Doepfer A-111-5v Mini Synthesizer Voice Module is a monophonic analog synthesizer that includes a VCO, a 24dB lowpass filter, a VCA, an ADSR envelope generator and two LFOs. The special feature of this module is the linear filter FM. The module is strictly limited, only one load is produced.

VCO

The voluminous VCO generates a pulse wave with variable width. In addition, a triangular or sawtooth waveform can be added. An octave switch and a potentiometer are available for tuning. The range of the potentiometers can be changed from +/- 0.5 octaves to +/- 2.5 octaves.

24dB lowpass filter

The filter has a slope of -24 dB per octave. In addition to the mandatory frequency and resonance buttons, there is a three-way key tracking switch. This means that the filter can also be used as a sine wave generator. Linear and exponential frequency modulations can also be implemented.

VCA

VCA with level potentiometer. One of the LFOs or the ADSR envelope can be used for variable strength amplitude modulation. With CV input to modulate the VCA amplitude.

ADSR envelope generator

The module's ADSR envelope generator provides manual control over attack, decay, sustain and release. In addition, there is a range switch with which you can switch between long, medium and short.

Two LFOs

The Doepfer A-111-5v has two independently usable LFOs with triangle and rectangular waves. The frequencies are determined by potentiometers and three-stage switches. Both LFOs reach into the audible range. LFO1 can also output an inverted signal.
