Dowina Marus JCE-s

The new Marus JCE-s is the latest addition to Slovakian manufacturer Dowina's affordable Antique series, an open-pored acoustic guitar in a large jumbo shape. A solid spruce top produces a clear and powerful sound, which is particularly expressive in the treble frequencies and harmonises perfectly with the striking laminated zebrano body. Due to the open-pored finish, the individual components can build up an astonishing volume, enriched and amplified by the large design with full basses. To guarantee the best playability, the manufacturer uses a flat nato neck with a hardwood fretboard, that allows comfortable playing up to all 20 frets thanks to a 44,5 mm nut width and a spacious cutaway. A transparent pickguard, a herringbone binding and a three-ring soundhole periphery enhance the visual appearance and create an optimal transition between the individual materials and discreetly emphasize the striking grain of the woods used. In addition, a Fishman Presys pickup system with integrated tuner not only amplifies a very natural sound image but also supports the player when tuning with the precise die-cast tuners thus perfectly rounding off the entire instrument.
