The Duesenberg Starplayer CBR Transparent Black at a glance
With the Duesenberg Starplayer CBR Transparent Black, the Hanover-based guitar maker is expanding its flagship Starplayer model with the coveted mahogany/maple combination. While the chambered body is made of selected mahogany wood, the top is made of two-piece maple and features an F-hole that transports the body resonance of the semi-hollow construction. Naturally, the Starplayer CBR offers the usual playability and relies on a one-piece maple neck with a balanced medium D profile. Duesenberg fans can therefore look forward to familiar handling across all 22 jumbo frets of the rosewood fingerboard. From a tonal point of view, the 'dream team' of a Domino P-90 on the neck and a Grand Vintage humbucker in the bridge position offers first-class sounds. Furthermore, the 'Flextone+' circuit provides additional switching combinations that can elicit completely new sounds from the Duesenberg Starplayer CBR. The instrument is completed by a solid in-house Hardware in the form of a Prestige Tremola system with steel saddle bridge and Z-tuners.
