The ESP LTD ALR II is a signature model of Andy LaRocque, the influential guitarist, music producer and co founder of the legendary metal band King Diamond. Based on the popular Horizon design, the ALR II features a full length neck for maximum resonance and sustain. The striking See Thru Purple finish beautifully highlights the grain of the maple top and gives the guitar a bold visual presence. The three piece maple neck is fitted with a Macassar ebony fingerboard with a 12" to 16" compound radius for optimal playability and 24 extra jumbo stainless steel frets. Luminlay side dots ensure excellent visibility on dark stages, allowing precise riffs and demanding lead work to be executed with confidence. The combination of a Seymour Duncan TB 4 JB Trembucker in the bridge position and an STK S6 Custom Stack Plus at the neck delivers a powerful and aggressive tone ideal for high gain styles. For maximum tuning stability, the guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 double locking tremolo. The LTD ALR II comes with an ESP Form Fit hardshell case and is therefore perfectly prepared for both studio work and touring.
