With the ESP LTD EX-201 Black Satin, the Japanese guitar giant sends a straightforward one-pickup version of the popular EX model into the race, which proves to be an ideal workhorse for rock and metal with excellent playing characteristics and brute sound. Based on the proven set-neck design, the guitar features a mahogany body and a comfortable "Thin and maple neck, while a split ESP Designed LH-150B humbucker provides the adequate sound backdrop. Indestructible Hardware in the form of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and tuning stable die-cast tuners complete the LTD EX-201 Black Satin electric guitar from ESP.

The glued "Thin U" maple neck of the matte black LTD EX-201 comes up with an unhindered playability of the high registers.

Fast playing set-neck guitar

In the construction of the EX-201, ESP pays special attention not only to aggressive styling but also to metal-ready playing characteristics. While the large mahogany body offers an amazingly balanced playing position both on the strap and on the thigh, the glued, three-piece maple neck can be easily played up to the highest positions of the 24-fret Roasted-Jatoba fingerboard thanks to the flat "Thin U" profile.

The split ESP Designed LH-150B humbucker in bridge position provides powerful rock and metal sounds.

One pickup for brute sounds

The electrical sound conversion of the electric guitar is done by an ESP Designed LH-150 humbucker in bridge position. The contemporary tuned high-output humbucker elicits juicy distortion sounds from the guitar amplifier, which presents every riff and solo with rich pressure and well-dosed assertiveness even at low tunings. Thanks to the coil split option via the push/pull switch in the volume control, glassy single-coil sounds for more moderate clean and overdrive timbres are also part of the electric guitars' repertoire.

LTD Die-Cast tuners keep the EX-201 securely in the correct tuning.

Indestructible hardware equipment

Last but not least, ESP equips the LTD EX-201 Black Satin with indestructible Hardware that promises long-lasting playing pleasure with the aggressively styled metal guitar. From the classic Stopbar tailpiece, the strings are guided on the body via a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which guarantees precise intonation and string action adjustment even when using thick strings and low tunings. On the distinctive "Reversed" headstock, LTD die-cast tuners also ensure precise tuning with high stability.
