The heart of the extra long scale five-string with 35" scale length is accordingly the five-piece maple-mahogany neck, which guarantees comfortable playing characteristics with an ebony fingerboard and "Extra Thin U" profile, while body wings made of mahogany complete the Forest-Design. Two passive ESP Designed SB-5 humbuckers and an active 3-band tone control provide flexible bass sounds of the hardest gear at the bass amplifier and also present drop tunings precisely and punchy. The heart of the ESP LTD F-5E is undoubtedly the full-length neck made of maple with mahogany blocking strips, to which mahogany body wings are glued. In combination with the extra long 35" scale length this combination promises a powerful basic sound with tight articulation, which does not shy away from extreme drop tunings. When playing electric bass, the neck with the flat "Extra Thin U" profile and the fretboard with 45 mm nut width offers the perfect foundation for breakneck riffs and complex runs.
With two ESP Designed SB-5 passive humbuckers and the ESP ABQ-3 active 3-band tone control, the ESP LTD F-5E Natural Satin delivers massive bass tones with precise articulation.
Passive humbucker and active electronics for versatile sounds
The pickups on the ESP LTD F-5E are two passive humbuckers in the form of the ESP Designed SB-5N on the neck and the ESP Designed SB-5B on the bridge. These pickups convince with their broadband sound, which offers with well-defined Attack and lively tone development the perfect basis for tight riffs and pushing grooves. To further customize the bass sound, the ESP LTD F-5 Bass is also equipped with the active ESP ABQ-3 3-band tone control, which convinces with its musical tuning and allows precise interventions in the character-shaping frequencies.
On the headstock of the ESP LTD F-5E Natural Satin, LTD die-cast tuners guarantee precise tuning.
ESP LTD Hardware with high functionality
The ESP LTD F-5E is completed by a high-quality Hardware equipment, which takes even the hardest stage use with unrestricted functionality and robustness. Thus on the body the particularly solidly built ESP LTD BB-605 bridge is used, which supports the even sound development of the Basses. With its two-dimensionally adjustable tailpieces, it also guarantees perfect intonation and string position, while the strings, which can be hung in from above, make it easy to change strings. At the headstock, the strings are guided by the groove made of self-lubricating plastic with a straight pull to the ESP LTD tuners, which convince with high precision and high tuning stability.
