At the heart of the ESP LTD KH-602 Black is its full-length maple neck with a flat "Extra Thin U" profile, ensuring lightning-fast, comfortable playability. The 24 extra jumbo frets on the Pau Ferro fingerboard provide a full two-octave range, while the signature "Skull and Crossbones" inlays mark the fret positions. Glued to the neck are alder body wings, which, combined with the full-length neck, deliver a crisp tone with long sustain.
ESP LTD KH-602 with EMG Bone Breaker Pickups
The active EMG KH-BB Bone Breaker humbuckers, developed in close collaboration with Kirk Hammett, handle the guitar’s electric tone. The EMG BB-N Alnico V humbucker on the neck and the EMG BB-B ceramic humbucker on the bridge produce tight riffs and searing metal leads. Tone control is managed via a standard 3-way switch with individual volume knobs and a master treble cutoff.
Floyd Rose tremolo for aggressive whammy bar action
As a true lead guitar, the ESP LTD KH-602 Black features the Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo, allowing aggressive dive bombs and squeals with ease. The system offers smooth operation and excellent tuning stability even under heavy use. High-quality LTD die-cast tuners on the reverse headstock complete the guitar, combining reliable performance with striking design.
