At its core, the Phoenix-1000 is built around a three-piece maple neck that runs the full length of the body, providing maximum sustain and rock-solid stability. The mahogany body wings and arched maple top add tonal richness and visual elegance, finished in a sophisticated Silver Sunburst Satin. The neck's Thin U profile feels fast and familiar, especially when paired with a smooth Macassar ebony fretboard and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. Whether you're executing fast-picked riffs, intricate tapping passages, or expressive bends, the Phoenix responds with ease and comfort.
To elicit flexible metal sounds from the guitar amplifiers, ESP equips the LTD Phoenix-1000 Evertune guitar with a Set of the hip Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, whose voicing can be changed via the push/pull switch in the tone control. The Fluence Modern Ceramic humbucker on the bridge delivers either a crisp high-output sound with tight bass and well-dosed growl or an organic sound with the best characteristics of a passive pickup. On the neck, the Fluence Modern Alnico Humbucker promises a modern active sound with a full but well-articulated tonal character or a particularly clean sound for fluid solo playing.
