Stephen Carpenter Signature electric guitar with HHS pickup setup
As a long-time ESP endorser, Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter now gets his own 6-string electric guitar tailor-made with the ESP LTD SC-20 See Thru Green after some Extended Range models. The instrument with a continuous neck and unusual HHS pickup configuration relies on the sound of an ESP designed LS-120 single coil on the neck and an LH-150 humbucker in the middle position, while the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB, a powerful classic of the US pickup winder, is used on the bridge. Thanks to the locking function of the TonePros Locking Tune-o-Matic bridge and the in-house tuning mechanisms, the LTD SC-20 has, in addition to the neck-thru construction, a resonant sound with direct response and reliable tuning stability thanks to fewer axle windings. Last but not least, Glow-in-the-Dark Side Dots also indicate the correct position of the 24-flush ebony fingerboard on darkest stages at all times.
