The ESP LTD Viper-400 BaritoneBlack Satin is the optimal electric guitar for the trendy drop tunings of modern metal thanks to its extended 27" scale length. Accordingly, the 686 mm long baritone scale supports an extremely defined and tighte output of all strings, while the traditional full mahogany construction with set neck ensures rich pressure. To ensure that even complex riffs and virtuoso solos come out of the fingers like greased, the neck is kept in the comfortable "Thin U" profile. Two active EMG humbuckers, the legendary 81 at the bridge and the 85 at the neck, provide the usual brute force of sound at the guitar amplifier with the high assertiveness of a razor-sharp midrange. High-quality Hardware in the form of Grover Rotomatic tuners and the classic Tune-O-Matic bridge along with matching Stopbar complete the ESP LTD Viper-400 Baritone.
The ESP LTD Viper-400 Baritone Black Satin with extended scale and active pickups from EMG delivers tighte sounds even with drop tunings.

As a bass player wanting to move into guitar playing to expand my writing possibilities I went over a few baritone options. I needed something that would handle the low tunings I want to use and shave something with a longer scale length that didn't feel a million miles away from what I am used to. In the end I settled on this wonderful piece. It handles lower tunings very well and after a few minutes of play time I felt my hands falling very naturally on the neck finding playing up and down it no problem at all even across a 27" scale length. The pickups are what you would expect from EMG's. Some people love them and some people don't but I found them perfectly suited to what I wanted. Overall I am really happy with it and encourage anyone looking for a baritone to give this a shot. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
