Three-channel Eddie van Halen amp with 100 watts

The EVH 5150III 100 Watt Head was developed according to Eddie van Halen's exact sound ideas and turns out to be an extremely flexible guitar amp that is not only suitable for the high-gain sounds of hard rock and metal, but also skillfully covers moderate overdrive tones and crystal clear Clean sounds. At the heart of the 5150 guitar amp are three channels with full tone control options, while the 100 watt power amp promises maximum volume reserves.

Three channels for flexible guitar sounds

In the three-channel preamp of EVH's 5150III, eight JJ ECC83S tubes promise particularly harmonious sounds with the warmth and dynamics typical of tube amps. Channel One is responsible for extremely transparent clean sounds that harmonize every note and are ideally suited for working with effects pedals. Channel Two, on the other hand, is responsible for medium gain sounds and promises juicy crunch and overdrive for bluesy sounds or driving hard rock riffs. In Channel Three, the EVH 5150III Head ignites absolute gain fireworks and delivers an extremely dense Distortion for soloing with endless Sustain or brutal riffing.

Precise sound adjustment options

It goes without saying that the 5150III head from EVH offers a wide range of options for precisely shaping your personal guitar sound. Each of the three channels of the head not only has its own gain and volume controls, but also its own 3-band EQ, so that the sound can be precisely adjusted. Each channel also has its own Presence control to adjust the output of the highest frequency ranges in the power amp.

6L6 power amp with 100 watts

In the power amplifier of the 5150III Head, EVH uses four 6L6 tubes from JJ, which promise a full sound image with high headroom. With 100 watts of power, the head has sufficient volume reserves to cover even large stages without any problems.
