This model combines classic design with modern high-performance specifications. A neck profile optimized for maximum playability, direct pickup mounting and an ultra-stable hardware setup make the Wolfgang Special T.O.M. the perfect choice for energetic riffs and demanding leads. With the usual elegant EVH look and flawless workmanship, this instrument stands for pure playing fun and absolute reliability. The body of the EVH Wolfgang Special T.O.M. is made of basswood and has a single-ply cream binding that stylishly emphasizes the dynamic look of the instrument. The bolt-on neck made of heat-treated maple (baked maple), which is reinforced with graphite and has an excellently crafted Wolfgang backshape profile, ensures excellent stability. The satin finish on the back also allows for a butter-soft playing feel. The baked maple fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and a compound radius of 12"-16", making the instrument equally suitable for both precise chord work and extreme bending in high registers.

EVH Wolfgang Humbucker: High-gain powerhouse and treble-bleed circuit

The assertive sound is provided by two specially tuned EVH Wolfgang humbuckers, which are mounted directly in the body. The pickups deliver the rich, dynamic EVH sound with plenty of bite and clarity - whether crunch, high-gain or cleans. The pickups are controlled via a 3-way switch and two high-quality EVH pots from Bourns: the 500K low friction volume pot with treble/bleed circuit enables smooth swells and detailed highs even when the volume is turned down, while the tone pot with 250K high friction design reliably prevents accidental control movements.
