For the Epiphone 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue Iced Tea Burst, the renowned guitar maker Epiphone had the rare opportunity to draw directly from original parts and specifications provided by its parent company, Gibson USA. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, this guitar is arguably the most authentic Stixties-style Les Paul from Epiphone has ever produced. True to tradition, the guitar features a mahogany body crafted to time tested specifications, topped with a solid maple top and a striking AAA-grade flamed curly maple veneer. Glued to the body is a one-piece mahogany '60s slim taperneck, offering fast and comfortable playability. The 22-fret rosewood fretboard with a 12" radius and 43 mm nut width also follows vintage-correct dimensions and delivers the unmistakable feel of a classic '60s Les Paul. The real highlight, lies in the electronics. Two Gibson USA custom humbuckers, hand-wound in Nashville sit in the neck and bridge positions and deliver the warm, articulate tones that defined a generation. They're controlled via original CTS potentiometers for Volume and Tone, with the tone circuit enhanced by genuine 'Bumblebee' oil-paper capacitors for smooth treble roll-off and vintage sonic characer. To top it all off, a matching hardshell case is included!
