With the Epiphone 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola Cherry Red, Epiphone presents a particularly authentic replica that uses original Gibson parts. There are two genuine Gibson USA Custombuckers with Alnico III magnets in the neck and bridge position of the mahogany body for authentic blues and rock sounds. For the left hand, on the other hand, the mahogany neck in the slim 1960 Slim Taper profile offers a long-established feel across all 22 frets of the rosewood fingerboard. Furthermore, Epiphone has given the 1964 SG Standard a successful combination of an original Maestro Vibrola and a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge, while six Epiphone Deluxe tuners with keystone wings provide the famous headstock look. Furthermore, the Epiphone 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola Cherry Red comes in a matching hardshell Case with Inspired by Gibson Custom logo.
