High-quality tonewoods and proven hardware
The solid mahogany body with glued-on maple top delivers classic Les Paul substance, while the Oxblood finish is a visual reminder of the iconic original on the cover of Blow by Blow. The glued-in one-piece mahogany neck comes with Long Neck Tenon and the exclusive Jeff Beck Custom Large C profile, which feels supple and voluminous at the same time, perfect for expressive bends, juicy slides or fast chord playing. The rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, 24.75" scale and classic 12" radius provides a familiar vintage feel with excellent playability. The necessary tuning stability is provided by Schaller M6 90 tuners, a GraphTech nut and a Historic Wraparound bridge made of aluminum in the style of the 50s original.
Gibson Custombucker Pickups
Two USA-made Gibson Custombucker pickups produce the open, warm yet biting tone that made Jeff Beck's playing unmistakable. Unlike classic PAF pickups, these pickups come with more nuanced dynamics and extended overtones, making them ideal for delicate slides and eruptive licks. The pickups are controlled via a traditional Les Paul layout with two volume and two tone controls, which are equipped with high-quality CTS pots and Mallory capacitors, which together guarantee a clear, reactive response. As a visual highlight, golden speed knobs, a cream pickguard and discreet nickel hardware are used, making the Jeff Beck 1954 Les Paul cut an excellent figure both on stage and in the studio.
