With the Epiphone PRO-1 NA Natural, the traditional manufacturer presents an acoustic guitar that is perfectly suitable for beginners and also advanced players. Due to its lightweight construction, the dreadnought produces a warm and powerful sound that is perfect for vocal accompaniment. The extra flat neck guarantees an easy grip in all frets and promises quick learning success. The striking headstock gives the guitar an individual touch, which is completed by the large pickguard.
To ensure that the tone develops quickly, the top is made of laminated spruce and the body of laminated mahogany. This combination colors the sound with rich bass and warm midrange frequencies. The mahogany neck is equipped with a rosewood fingerboard that has 20 frets for optimal access in all positions.
To ensure a clean intonation on the whole scale length of 648 mm, the 42,6 mm wide nut and the bridge inlay are made of Nubone. I'm very happy with this purchase. Despite being a guitar for begginers it will also not disappoint the most experienced. Very good price for such good quality of instrument.
This was a gift for a former professional musician. He described it as having the sound and build quality of the Epiphone guitars he used in the 1960s and amazing value for money. It would not only be suitable as an entry-level instrument but could be a reserve for a professional. He said that the guitar was so well set-up that he did not have to make any adjustments or take it to a guitar maker/repairer for adjustment and could play it straight out of the box.
