The Black EG 2 from Erica Synths is a high qualityADSR envelope with variable gate length. Due to the exponential curve the Black EG 2 is recommended for all modulations where a crisp, percussive character is desired and of course also in experimental patches. In single mode the module acts as an ordinary ADSR envelope, in loop mode the whole envelope or only the Attack and ReleasePhase are looped depending on the gate switch. Since the Black EG 2 has an adjustable gate length, it is able to generate the full time response even with short trigger signals. The gate length is also adjustable via control voltage, which is especially useful for complex patches where many elements interlock.
