The Ernie Ball EB2590 11-48 Power Slinky Flatwound combines the full-bodied sound of classic roundwound strings with the improved feel and reduced handling noise of flatwound sets. For this purpose, the US string manufacturer uses a cobalt alloy for the flatwound winding and maintains the typical Output of the regular slinky string sets. The G-string of the set remains unwound to facilitate expressive playing techniques such as bending.
