The Evans B13G2 13" Coated is a 13" tom head. The BG2 13 is coated, and made from single-ply plastic. Evans BG2 series features a single ply of coated 7mil film that provides a full tonal response with a shortened sustain without the need for additional muffling. With these heads, The thin resonating head has a similar effect on the sound as a thicker batter head, only with significantly less sustain. The thin material thickness of the BG2 heads with a coated surface produce warm and full sounds which do not build up on each other but remain defined and precise.
