The Evans Min-EMAD Drum Damping are externally mounted, adjustable drum dampeners. Simply attach to the outer hoop of your drum, and rest the dampening head on to the head of your drum. These allow for realistic drum damping by using the motion of the drum head to remove unwanted frequencies and overtones.
The Min-EMAD can be adjusted to give you four levels of dampening. From minimal to aggressive, bending these dampeners give you infinite amounts of dampening and allow you to key in your own tone.

Evans MINEMAD Damper for Snare and TomsThis was the best price option for this kind of product. I own a drumkit on my basement and I needed these to dampen the sound as much as possible. It works quite well.
I should say, however, that you should not expect too much of it as far as noise blocking is concerned (that was my initial purpose of purchase).
It is easy to install. Sometimes the drumsticks get stuck into the connections but that's easy to manage.
