FBT J 8A
The FBT J 8A is an active 2-way loudspeaker with a bass reflex design that offers considerable power despite its compact dimensions. Equipped with modern bi-amp power amplifiers, the system delivers an RMS output of 250W (200W for the bass and 50W for the treble), resulting in a peak output of up to 500W peak. An 8" custom woofer with 1.7" voice coil ensures efficient bass reproduction, while the 1" HF compression driver guarantees clear high frequencies up to 20 kHz.
Flexible sound and safe operation Thanks to the integrated digital signal processor (DSP) and dynamic protection circuits, the output remains reliable and controlled even at a maximum sound pressure level of 124 dB SPL. Two DSP presets are available to quickly adapt the sound to the situation at hand: "Original" for a neutral output and "Boost" for emphasized bass and treble reproduction. A switchable high-pass filter also makes it easy to combine with an additional subwoofer.
Sophisticated housing design The housing made of gas-injected polypropylene is very light with a net weight of just 8.5 kg, yet robust enough for regular use. Thanks to its asymmetrical shape, the speaker can be used both as a classic front speaker on a 35 mm stand and as a floor monitor on stage. A combined XLR/jack input with switchable mic/line level and an XLR link output for looping through to other speakers are available for signal input. Two integrated M6 threaded points also offer flexible options for wall or ceiling mounting.
