The Cocktail Set in "White Sparkle" finish is a compact cocktail drum set including hardware. Besides a matching pedal, tom and cymbal holders and even a cowbell are included. Tom and snare can be mounted directly to the bass drum, which is set up vertically. Cocktail sets are a popular alternative to conventional drumsets that can be played standing up. This type of drum set became popular in the 50s when smaller bebop combos were established alongside the large swing orchestras. The compact cocktail sets were perfect for small jazz and cocktail bars, hence the name Cocktail Drums. Due to the vertically placed bass drum, these drum kits have a particularly small footprint and are therefore suitable for small or narrow stages.
