The Fame DP-6000 White is a sleek, contemporary digital piano. The Fame DP-6000 offers pure playing enjoyment with its great sound and thoughtfully selected features. The keyboard has a very good address, can be played with a ton of power or very delicately and responds to the dynamic of the player. The two piano and the e-piano sounds are saturated, balanced and full. At this point the two effects should also be mentioned which are adjustable in multiple steps and can combined with one another, giving the player the possibility to fine-tune personal preferences. With the Reverb effect you can turn your piano into a concert grand, while the Chorus turns it into a Honky Tonk like piano.
The Harpsichord is also very impressive, as well as the bombastic strings and the sacral grace of the church organ. The trumpets, saxophone and Oboe sounds are also wonderful features.The Fame DP-6000 possesses 20 pre-recorded songs which are very easy to learn in the song mode. You have the possibility of switching off one hand and to play-a-long yourself. Naturally the fame DP-6000 also features the most important functions such as Layer and Split, and can be fine tuned to other instruments not at 440 Hz.
Like all other Fame models, the DP-6000 can simply be controlled via the function button in combination with the keys. This way the sound, metronome, tempo, effects, strength of the velocity sensitivity and many other functions can be adjusted with a flick of the wrist. The huge advantage of this style of control is that the interface is not cluttered with numerous buttons, this way everything is reduced to the minimum making adjustments much simpler without having to navigate through layers of menus.
Included with the Fame DP-6000 is a 3-way pedal unit with sustain, soft and sostenuto. For the thoroughbred pianist this is a tremendous addition because usually by other manufacturers similar pedal units would need to be purchased separately. Thanks to its connection possibilities you can connect various MIDI capable devices, USB devices, a CD or MP3 players or up to 2 headphones. I am a beginner and wanted a lightweight electronic piano to learn on, and for my children to eventually learn on too. I have been really pleased with the piano, and especially like the weighted keys and the look of it.
I selected the package option which came with a piano stool, which is lovely and very sturdy, headphones which have worked well and a couple of music books, which are too advanced for me for now, but one day hopefully!
Great product and great value for money. It took longer than I expected to arrive (I wasn't aware a UK order was being shipped from Germany) and had issues getting tracking information. However that was during the coronavirus lockdown so expect that was unusual, and the team were very quick to respond to email queries.
