The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Blue Gloss celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Fame brand as a strictly limited special model with high-quality premium tonewoods, a contemporary full equipment and high playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with a chic burl poplar top not only presents its visually appealing refinements, but also offers a comfortable playing position, with the generous cutaways providing unhindered access across the entire neck. This is made from mahogany and traditionally glued, while the flat "D" profile sits comfortably in the hand so that every riff or lick on the ebony fingerboard comes naturally. On the amplifier, the proven combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz on the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on the bridge delivers versatile sounds between pop, blues and rock, which are enhanced by authentic single-coil sounds thanks to the coil split. The integrated piezo pickup system also provides first-class acoustic guitar sounds, so there are no limits to the tonal variety and musical expression. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and precise locking tuners from Gotoh complete the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Blue Gloss.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl is made by experienced luthiers in Europe and therefore impresses with its careful selection of wood and flawless workmanship. The body is made from khaya mahogany with a poplar burl top, the unique grain of which is skilfully emphasised by the finish. An elegant highlight is undoubtedly the sharply contoured curvature of the top with a recess in the cutaway, which ensures unimpeded playability across all registers. The sapele mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the perfectly proportioned "D" profile, so that every note on the ebony fingerboard almost plays itself.
Thanks to the versatile pickup equipment, the Fame Forum IV Modern is particularly flexible in terms of sound. With a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz on the neck, a tried-and-tested pair of humbuckers is used to deliver the right sound for every genre between blues, pop, rock and even metal. The bridge pickup impresses with a high output and the enormous assertiveness of its sharply focussed mids, while the neck pickup brings every note to life with endless sustain and a warm vintage voice. Thanks to the coil-split circuit, authentic single-coil sounds with the typical bell-like, clear sound development are also available.
In addition to the magnetic pickups, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with a GraphTech Ghost piezo pick up system, which is integrated into the bridge and has an active preamp. The system is activated via a pull on the front volume control and delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds with brilliant highs and the typical attack behaviour on the amplifier. The volume of the piezo system can be adjusted via the rear potentiometer so that mixed sounds with the magnetic Seymour Duncan pickups are also possible.
Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl impresses with its high-quality hardware equipment, which can be used on stage and in the studio with unrestricted reliability. From the traditional stopbar tailpiece, the strings are guided over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose string savers made of graphite string savers accommodate the ghost piezo elements. The Black TUSQ nut also comes from GraphTech, behind which the strings are held on the headstock by precise Gotoh locking tuners.

Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Blue Gloss #26051794My Fame Forum IV modern 20th anniversary (color: burl stonewashed blue) arrived yesterday. My first impression: top notch quality for an extremely good price. I also own a PRS and this Fame guitar literally compares to a PRS core guitar in my honest first impression.
At first, I was hesitant to buy a Fame guitar because the brand is unknown here in the Netherlands. But I thought “what the heck” and gave it a try, after seeing the good reviews. Well, the looks are amazing, the fretwork excellent, it sounds great and plays very well. Build quality is top notch. And this “made in Europe”, at 1/3 of the price of a PRS core.
Some small suggestions:
1) no one is waiting for the “20 years” inlay on the fretboard. Normal dots are a bit more convenient.
2) I advise a version with tremolo and tone control, a few more colors, and a similar model but with lower output pickups. That will cover 90% of the needs of guitarists. For sure I would buy another one then
Extremely happy!! Best quality guitar I've had, I like it better than the PRS I had previously. Shipping was fast to Texas, arrived in about 2 weeks.
I've REALLY gelled with this guitar. First thing first the wood on this guitar and the craftsmanship are TOP notch. I was not impressed with the electronics the Duncan pickups, while a classic combo, didn't suit my needs. I put shur thornbuckers in right away. While the piezo pickups are graphtech the preamp is not, I changed that out as well. I also added a tone control and removed the piezo switch for a piezo volume (can be done with a mini pot). As you can see I'm super particular about my electronics so I don't fault fame, especially at this price. I will be buy another one! But, can we get a few more color options for the semi hollow!???
Beautiful craftmanship. Almost Challenging the PRS Core model (I have 2 so I can compare).
The fretworks is cut perfectly but needs Bit of additional polishing to round edges and decrease friction with the strings.
Also the Guitar came without Gigbag. As it is the High performance guitar range of FAME, this guitar should come with Gig Bag.
