FAME Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Charcoal Gloss
Limited anniversary edition with burl poplar top, Seymour Duncan pickups and piezo pickup system
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Charcoal Gloss celebrates the 20th anniversary of the brand Fame as a strictly limited special model with high-quality premium tonewoods, a contemporary full equipment and high playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with a chic burl poplar top not only presents its visually appealing refinements, but also offers a comfortable playing position, with the generous Cutaways providing unobstructed access across the entire neck. This is made of mahogany and traditionally glued, while the flat "D" profile fits comfortably in the hand, so that on the ebony fingerboard every riff or lick comes as if by magic. At the amp, the proven combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge delivers versatile sounds between pop, Blues and rock, which are extended thanks to Coil-Split and authentic single-coil sounds. The integrated piezo pickup system provides furthermore first-class acoustic guitar sounds, so that there are no limits to the tonal variety and musical expression. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and precise locking tuners from Gotoh complete the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Charcoal Gloss.
The limited edition Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Charcoal Gloss with a top of intensely figured burl poplar and '20th Anniversary' inlay at the 12th fret of the ebony fingerboard.
High playability and careful wood selection
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl is crafted in Europe by experienced luthiers and accordingly impresses with its careful wood selection and flawless workmanship. The body is made of khaya mahogany with a top of poplar burl, whose unique grain is skilfully accentuated by the Finish. The guitar's noble highlight is undoubtedly its fine finish. A noble highlight is undoubtedly the sharply contoured arching of the top with a recess in the cutaway, which ensures unhindered playability in all registers. The Sapelli mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the perfectly proportioned "D" profile, so that every note almost plays itself on the ebony fingerboard.
With two Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a piezo pickup system in the bridge, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl delivers versatile tones.
Seymour Duncan humbucker for sounds between Blues and Rock
Thanks to the versatile pickup equipment, the Fame Forum IV Modern is particularly flexible in terms of sound. With a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck, a proven pair of humbuckers is used, which delivers the right sound for every genre between blues, pop, rock and even metal. Here the bridge pickup convinces with a high Output and the enormous assertiveness of its sharply focused mids, while the neck pickup brings every note to life with endless Sustain and warm vintage voice. Thanks to the coil-split circuitry, authentic single-coil tones with the typical bell-like clarity of sound are also at your fingertips.
The front volume control is a push/pull pot and activates the piezo. Via the mini switch the humbuckers can be split to single coils.
Piezo pickup system
In addition to the magnetic pickups, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with a GraphTech Ghost piezo pickup system, which is integrated into the bridge and has an active preamp. The system is activated by pulling the front volume knob and delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds with brilliant highs and the typical attack behaviour. The volume of the piezo system can be adjusted via the rear potentiometer, so that mixed sounds with the magnetic Seymour Duncan pickups are also possible.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Stonewashed Charcoal Gloss features a Khaya Mahogany body, while the glued neck is made of Sapelli Mahogany.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with Gotoh locking tuners for precise tuning and fast string changes.
Hardware from Gotoh and GraphTech
Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl convinces with a high-quality hardware equipment, which completes operations on stage and in the Studio with unlimited reliability. From the traditional Stopbar tailpiece, the strings are fed over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose tailpieces made of String-Saver graphite material house the Ghost Piezo elements. Also from GraphTech is the Black-TUSQ saddle, behind which the strings are held at the headstock by precise Gotoh locking tuners.

Forum IV Modern download test report.
Excerpt: Otherwise, perfection down to the last detail. The unvarnished satin surfaces convey an extremely pleasant feel, the ergonomics a high level of playing comfort. Schaller hardware, Seymour Duncan pickups and GraphTech ghost piezo bridge with corresponding Preamp - that's how you score points. Last but not least, both guitars are absolutely convincing in terms of sound and, thanks to their very good vibration characteristics, excellent dynamics and stable Sustain, they serve a wide range of different musical genres.
