The colour is a bit different from the one in the pictures. It's a brighter red, not a brown-ish looking red. But for that price, the item is very good. I had to add a shoelace since I use it on my acoustic guitar

A very well made strap for this price, but it has a terrible smell after unpacking. I hope it will disappear with time but so far it's quite strong that I had to put the strap outside of the living room for a couple of days.

4 starts for craftsmanship only due to this terrible smell, otherwise no complaints.

I would recommend to use strap locks with this strap always.

Color is most definitely not as pictured. The color is a much stronger basic red, and perhaps is closer to a dark red on the non-embossed sections. Workmanship and materials are sturdy and appears durable. The underside of the strap is a solid black softer leather which makes it comfortable to wear. There also appears to be a compressed felt padding in between the leather sides. The Fame logo is present, but is lightly embossed on the black underside which is hidden and doesn't detract from the strap's appearance. The strap is wider than I expected, but is at a nice width that doesn't cut into the shoulder. Overall, despite the color difference from the picture, it's a great value for the money and the color still works for me. Looks like it'll last for at least several years.
