The Fame Hybrid PRO is compatible with all major e-drum brands including Roland, Yamaha, Fame, 2Box and Alesis. It offers an easy way to expand an existing electronic drum set and bring the modern multi-layer sounds of Marco Minnemann and Simon Phillips to an older kit. A total of 40 preset kits and more than 400 sounds are stored in the generous 4 GB flash memory. All current drum triggers work with the Fame Hybrid PRO, so an acoustic drum set can quickly be transformed into a powerful hybrid kit featuring the signature sounds of these two celebrated drummers. Whether you prefer rubber pads or mesh heads, the trigger parameters can be individually adjusted for each pad type.
The Fame Hybrid PRO Sound Module is a professional e-drum trigger module offered in an exclusive Simon Phillips and Marco Minnemann Edition and is fully compatible with all leading manufacturers. It provides 12 independent trigger channels and four direct outputs and delivers latency-free response for a natural playing feel. Its impressive 4 GB flash memory can hold an extensive library of sounds or user WAV samples. Around 400 exclusive multi-layer sounds, built from 12,500 meticulously recorded samples, come preinstalled. The open sound architecture makes it easy to organize and create kits, sounds and custom backing tracks using the free software editor. The module offers 100 kit memory slots, 40 of which are already filled with professionally crafted sounds. Each kit can be assigned a click track or a song, ideal for live performance. Four direct outputs allow individual routing of pads, songs and clicks, and the stereo headphone output can serve as an additional direct output if required. A stereo line input lets the Fame Hybrid PRO double as an in-ear monitoring hub. You can also assign functions to connected pads to start or stop songs, trigger loops or control the metronome with a single hit. All drum and cymbal pads are supported, and the module works seamlessly with all standard drum triggers.
Simon Phillips and Marco Minnemann are legendary drummers admired worldwide for their artistry. Simon Phillips helped define the sound of TOTO with his unmistakable style, while Marco Minnemann is a sought-after live and studio drummer who has worked with artists such as Paul Gilbert, the Buddy Rich Big Band, Udo Lindenberg and NENA. Inside the Fame Hybrid PRO module are about 400 multi-layer sounds built from 12,500 individual samples. Phillips and Minnemann recorded their drum kits in a Los Angeles studio and worked closely with the Fame development team to tailor every detail for this module. Each drum and cymbal was captured with advanced multi-mic techniques at different microphone distances. Fame’s multi-layer concept means that every instrument is recorded at many dynamic levels. As a result, not only does the volume change with playing intensity, but the tonal color and frequency content evolve as well. Some sounds contain up to 128 individual layers. The outcome is an impressively natural response and an exceptional, world-class sound.
High-end
The Fame Hybrid PRO trigger interface provides 12 independent trigger channels along with hi-hat and ride controllers. Its ultra-fast response ensures virtually latency-free playing across a wide dynamic range. The snare rim input supports a stereo connection, and an extra pad can be linked to the kick input using the included split cable. A full 4 GB of flash memory is available for your own samples, loops and songs. An external monitor or playback signal can be fed in through the stereo line input. Four mono direct outputs give great flexibility: individual instruments, groups, backing tracks or the metronome can each be sent to a separate mixer channel. From a simple stereo headphone mix to complex live monitoring setups, the module’s routing options meet every requirement.

The Fame Hybrid PRO is housed in a rugged metal chassis designed to withstand the demands of intensive touring. Every input and output jack on the rear panel is individually screwed and wired, greatly reducing the risk of failure. The robust switches and dual control knobs are engineered for long service life. Manufactured in Europe, the module meets the highest standards of workmanship and reliability.
Beyond its unique multi-layer samples, the Fame Hybrid PRO achieves remarkable realism through subtle variations in playback. The output responds dynamically to changes in velocity and playing style, eliminating the artificial “machine gun” effect common to lesser electronic kits. The result is a natural, expressive drum sound with professional studio quality.
Conventional WAV files in CD quality (stereo, 16 bit/44.1 kHz) can be loaded into the module via USB and assigned to any kit. Playbacks, sample tracks and loops are triggered effortlessly, and a pad on the Fame Hybrid PRO can be set to start, stop or pause playback with a single hit.
The integrated metronome is designed with live performance in mind as well as practice sessions. Each kit can have its own dedicated click track, and users can program a wide range of time signatures, accents and sounds. The metronome can also function as a one- or two-bar count-in, automatically stopping after the preset intro if desired.
The module’s interface is clean and easy to navigate. Five main menu categories Mixer Unit, Program, Channel, Sound and Special organize all functions. The display is divided into six sections, which are operated using a central knob and three push buttons. Overall volume is controlled by a dedicated Level knob, which can be decoupled to affect only the headphone output when needed.
The open sound concept of the Fame Hybrid PRO sets a new standard in this price range. When the module is connected to a computer via USB, it appears as a storage device, giving direct access to all internal files. Samples, loops and full songs can be dragged and dropped straight onto the module and are immediately available for use. With the free software editor, users can organize kits, sounds, presets and trigger settings as easily as managing photos on a computer. Entire setlists can be created in advance and called up in sequence during a performance. The editor also makes it simple to build multi-layer sounds with up to 127 velocity levels from personal WAV recordings, for example from an acoustic drum session, and load them directly into the module.

This is an editor software for processing Hybrid Pro kits and sounds. You can edit existing kits and the editor also includes the unique function of creating your own multi-layer sounds from your wave files, which can be played on a Fame Hybrid Pro module.

As a Fame Hybrid Pro customer, you can now benefit from additional sounds that are available in every module. These are authentic cymbal sounds from one of the hottest and most modern cymbal series in the world, namely the Meinl Byzance series, which were commissioned by us in a professional recording studio. For the first time ever, creative stack sounds are available to optimize the playing experience and sound variety.
Renowned microphones, preamps and converters have been used to guarantee a high-quality sound experience. Of course, these are high-resolution multi-layer samples with 44.1 kHz and 24 bit, which have been constructed from numerous individual samples; the hihat sounds, for example, consist of over 150 individual samples. All sounds were recorded using the multi-mic method, using six microphones for each sample.
