The Fame Masters B20 Swish 18" is a swish ride made of B20 bronze, hand-forged in Turkey. The outstanding workmanship, combined with a modern sound, characterizes the Fame Masters series. The B20 bronze used is the finest alloy for cymbals and the standard in the high-end segment. The Traditional version of the Fame Masters B20 series offers a multi-faceted sound with a linear basic character and fewer overtones. The sound of the B20 cymbals from Fame is extremely complex, balanced, and full. With the Masters B20 and Pure series, Fame Cymbals offers a varied range of professional instruments at an excellent price-performance ratio. Each China cymbal is hand-hammered in Istanbul and then finished to the highest quality standards in a renowned Turkish factory.
Fame Masters cymbals with Traditional Finish sound balanced and have a linear character. At the same time, the warm decay gives the round sound an unmistakable dynamic. Just like the Brilliant Fame Masters version, this model with Traditional Finish initially sounds multi-layered, while the Fame China also offers explosive volume. The fast and direct response leads to an unobtrusive sustain that is easily controllable. Fame Masters B20 cymbals are ideal for use in any popular style; instruments of this type characterize the sound of many modern drummers. Direct response, full sound, and a high-quality hand-crafted finish also make these cymbals ideal for studio use, as they deliver a clear and coherent signal with a high dynamic range.
B20 cymbals are the cymbals with the highest bronze content on the market. B20 is a metal alloy consisting of 80% copper and 20% tin. Handmade B20 cymbals represent the supreme discipline of cymbal forging, and the majority of professional cymbals are made from this alloy. The forging process begins with a heated piece of metal, which is shaped into its typical form through rolling, hammering, and more rolling. The top of the cymbal is usually stamped by machine. This is followed by painstaking manual work, as each cymbal is individually hammered, giving it a unique pattern and profile.
