The Fame Pure Hi-hat 16" is a hand-hammered pair of cymbals from Turkey, crafted from B20 bronze with a natural finish. The underside of the cymbal is lathed and features a traditional surface. This creates a layered frequency spectrum with a dark tonal base and dry overtones. Fame Pure cymbals are handcrafted in renowned Turkish cymbal forges and meet the highest quality standards. B20 cymbals are made from one of the most refined bronze alloys used in cymbal making. B20 refers to an alloy composed of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin. The forging process begins with a heated metal blank, which is shaped through rolling and hammering. The top surface is usually stamped in by machine. The most important step follows: the cymbal is meticulously hammered by hand to create its unique profile and character. Each cymbal is one of a kind.
