This remote hi-hat is nicely built and has an excellent price/value ratio. It is not very sensitive and it is not possible to do any fast foot work with it, but this is a problem of all cable hi-hats in this range. It is perfect as a secondary hi-hat or for players, who do not require sensitivity and speed of good classic hi-hat pedals. But for the price, it does the job as expected without any doubts.
I thought the price of this unit would mean a compromise in performance but this unit is functional, sturdy and very reasonably priced in comparison to other units on the market. Im using it as a second hi-hat unit for extra variety and its exactly what the doctor ordered. Recommended.
Read description! It is stated that response is slow and that is not suitable for fast playing. Tension adjustment is not changing much but the price/performance ration is fair enough.
This is great if you need a remote hi hat stand on a budget. you can do fast footwork on it if have the pedal on the opposite side of the clutch and the wire cant be bent if you want it to run smoothly. its very sturdy and heavy duty.
