The FAME TOUR 1 is a compact, portable, battery-powered PA system that’s there exactly when you need good sound quickly and easily – whether for busking, small gigs, rehearsals, presentations or as a flexible sound system on the go. Housed in a robust enclosure is a 6.5” coaxial speaker featuring a 6.5” woofer and a 1” compression driver, which delivers clear, assertive sound reproduction despite its compact size. The system is powered by a power amplifier delivering 50 W RMS (bass) plus 17 W (treble) – ideal for bringing vocals and playback to the fore with confidence.
Two full-featured channels (CH1 and CH2) are available for connecting microphones and instruments, each with a combo socket (XLR/6.3 mm) and a handy INST/MIC switch to ensure that the input level and sensitivity are optimally matched to the signal source. The sound can be fine-tuned directly on the unit: bass, midrange and treble are available as a 3-band EQ, ensuring speech remains clear, vocals shine and instruments sit cleanly in the mix. In addition, the TOUR 1 offers genuine creative tools for CH1/CH2: two effect blocks provide Effect A (reverb/echo/delay) and Effect B (chorus/flanger) – perfect for adding more space, depth and character to vocals or instrument sounds without the need for external equipment.
Channel 3 (CH3) is designed for external audio sources and supports AUX, BT and TWS. This means music can be fed in either the traditional way via a cable through the 3.5 mm or 6.3 mm AUX-in, or streamed wirelessly with ease. Thanks to BT 5.3, the connection to a smartphone or tablet is fast and stable – ideal for playbacks, interval music or presentations. If you need a wider soundstage or a broader stereo image, use the TWS function to wirelessly pair two speakers (setup depends on the application). A 1.77" LCD display is integrated for convenient operation, allowing you to clearly control key functions and settings.
The Fame TOUR 1 also proves versatile when it comes to USB: the USB-A port can serve as a 5 V / 2.1 A charging output to power mobile devices whilst on the move. In addition, the system supports USB playback as well as a handy recording function to a USB stick (U-disk) – perfect for easily recording performances or announcements. A headphone output (3.5 mm) is provided for quiet monitoring or late-night sessions; when plugged in, the internal speaker is automatically muted. The Fame TOUR 1 can be powered either via the built-in battery or via the mains adaptor, as the power supply is rated for AC 100–240 V – making it ideal for international use too.
With its compact dimensions of 246 × 280 × 332 mm, the Fame TOUR 1 remains easy to transport whilst still being a serious ‘all-in-one’ system for the stage, the street and everyday use. In short: if you’re looking for a portable PA system that combines microphone/instrument input, Bluetooth playback, EQ & effects and even USB recording in a single unit, the Fame TOUR 1 offers a well-designed solution for a wide range of applications.
Conclusion: I particularly like the two combination channels for microphone and instrument. This allows me, for example, to connect a guitar and a vocal microphone at the same time, whilst channel 3 handles the playback via Bluetooth. For buskers or small acoustic performances, this is an extremely practical setup.
The concept also works well in everyday use. In my test, pairing via Bluetooth with a smartphone and a TV went smoothly. Furthermore, the speaker can be used upright or at an angle as a monitor. The small colour display makes operation easy, and the built-in EQ and effects options reduce the need for additional equipment.
