Traditional alder and maple design
The combination of alder and maple has always been regarded by Strat fans as a guarantee for a good primary tone. While the body is made in two parts from alder and has an authentic'Heavy Relic' finish, solid maple in the much sought-after rift cut is used for the classic four-piece bolt-on neck. Riftware is characterized by a constant grain pattern from headstock to neck heel and guarantees absolute stability and the best possible resonance. The '60s oval C-profile neck is finished off with a rosewood fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets.
Hand-wound Texas Special single-coils
The Fender '59 Stratocaster HRL RW Super Faded Aged Candy Apple Red draws its multi-faceted sounds from a single-coil trio in the classic manner. In this case, this is made up of three hand-wound Custom Shop Texas Special single coils which, with their moderate Output, are great fun for everything from clear cleans to hot southern rock sounds. Under the hood is a Vintage Modified Strat Wiring #2, which assigns the bridge pickup its own tone control and skillfully tames overly harsh highs when necessary.
