Fender 2019 Limited 55 Dual-Mag Strat Journeyman Relic Super Faded Aged Candy Apple Red
The Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster JRN Relic Super Faded Aged Sherwood Green combines the classic Fender style of the 1950s with a number of interesting details that promise a high level of sonic variety with that typical vintage character. The hand-wound Fender Dual-Mag pickups feature different Alnico blends for the bass and treble strings, whereas the Strat 1/2 Blender circuit and the Greasebucket tone circuit provide additional tones. The Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster JRN Relic Super Faded Aged Sherwood Green also offers excellent playability thanks to the typical ash Contour Body and a bolt-on neck with "Soft V" profile and compound fretboard radius. High quality, historically accurate hardware in the form of a synchronized tremolo and vintage style tuners complete the Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Journeyman Relic Strat.
Naturally, the Fender Custom Shop built the Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster based on the original specificitations from the mid 1950s. Accordingly, a two-piece body made of selected ash joins a one-piece neck made of rift-sawn maple, which is highly stable due to the maple's standing annual rings. In addition, the combination of the "Soft V" neck profile and the vintage compound radius that increases from 7.25" to 9.5" guarantees superb playability for classical and modern techniques. Last but not least, the lovingly executed Journeyman Relic Nitro finish conveys the feel and look of a played-in and carefully maintained vintage original.
The Fender Custom Shop uses hand-wound Dual-Mag single-coils on the 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster Journeyman Relic, which tame the high frequencies with Alnico II magnets under the treble strings, whereas Alnico-V under the bass strings gives a piano-like response with rich pressure. In addition to the usual pickup combinations, the Strat-1/2-Blender circuit allows the neck pickup to be mixed in positions 1 and 2 of the 5-way switch, so that neck and bridge pickups or all three pickups can be used simultaneously. The practical Fender Greasebucket Tone Circuit ensures particularly smooth treble roll-offs without overemphasising the bass.
Last but not least a historically correct hardware configuration completes the Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster JRN Relic Super Faded Aged Sherwood Green. The traditional Fender 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo provides smooth handling and high tuning stability inviting you to embellish melodies or chords with shimmering vibratos. Behind the bone nut, six Fender Vintage-Style tuners ensure precise and stable tuning for the Fender 1955 Dual-Mag Strat Journeyman Relic.
