Body and hardware
The two-piece alder body forms the basis of the instrument and is complemented by a one-piece neck made from riftsawn maple. As with early Stratocaster models, no separate fretboard was used here - frets and Inlays were fitted directly to the neck material. The combination of 21 Narrow Tall frets and the 57 styleSoft "V" neck profile ensure a smooth playing feel with a strong vintage attitude. The Custom Shop Vintage Strat tremolo allows for subtle vibrato applications, while the vintage tuners with "F" logo ensure reliable tuning. The nickel/chrome hardware has also been given the Heavy Relic treatment and skillfully underlines the high-quality aging.
The hand-wound El Diablo single coils deliver the genuine Stratocaster sound with a vocal character.
Hand-Wound El Diablo Single Coils
Three Hand-Wound El Diablo single coils in neck, middle and bridge position deliver the incomparable Stratocaster sound and unfold their full potential thanks to their crisp Outputs especially with defined crunch or hot overdrive. The hand-wound single coils convey the incomparable Stratocaster sound of the late fifties and, with a treble-rich frequency image, carry the genuine vocal Stratocaster sound, while soft mids and an attack-rich response ensure a great playing feel.
