Traditional Sixties construction

When building the Fender 1960 HS Telecaster Custom Relic, the Corona, California-based Fender Custom shop follows the specifications from the early 1960s. Accordingly, the electric guitar features a lightweight alder body and a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck with a flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard. The strong "'59 Large C" neck profile and the modern fingerboard radius of 9.5" (241 mm) create the basis for comfortable playing characteristics and smooth bends. An absolute highlight is furthermore the elaborate Color-over-Color-Relic finish, which recreates in detail the playing traces of a Sunburst-Tele acquired over decades.

To ensure that both the humbucker and the single-coil can develop their sound to the full, the Fender 1960 HS Telecaster Custom is equipped with stereo pots that provide the optimum resistances for each pickup at 500 kOhm and 250 kOhm.
