The Fender 1962 Jazz Bass NOS RW Sea Foam Green is an authentic reissue of an early sixties J-Bass with not only the historically correct specifications, but also the official Vintage feeling in appearance and sound. The "New Old Stock" nitrocellulose finish without artificial aging gives the impression of a brand-new original from the time, while the traditional Offset-Design with narrow maple neck promises the usual playability. Two hand-wound Jazz Bass single coils and the traditional passive circuitry furthermore provide the well-known flexible sound spectrum that makes the Jazz Bass an all-rounder for almost every musical style. A traditional hardware setup with classic bridge, open tuners and the historically correct covers for bridge and pickup completes the 1962 Jazz Bass NOS RW Sea Foam Green from Fender.

Traditional construction with first-class woods

For the construction of the 1962 J-Bass NOS the Fender Custom shop relies on the traditional specifications from the beginning of the sixties and implements them with first-class tonewoods. For the body in the popular offset style, alder wood selected for its weight and sound characteristics is used, while the bolt-on neck is solidly made of maple with standing annual rings. The narrow "'60s Jazz Bass U" neck profile with 38 mm nut width also promises agile playing characteristics on the 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.

With hand-wound Custom Shop Vintage Jazz Bass Rhythm and Lead single coils in the middle and bridge positions respectively, the 1962 Jazz Bass delivers the usual flexible sound spectrum, ranging from a sonorous sound with abysmal low end to a wiry presence tone with high assertiveness, making the bass guitar an all-rounder for almost any genre imaginable. To be able to adjust the tone precisely, the E-Bass provides individual volume controls for each pickup as well as a general treble control.
