The 1962 Stratocaster Relic Aged Lake Placid Blue is Fender’s faithful homage to the golden era of the most legendary electric guitar in music history. This Stratocaster has been handcrafted with meticulous care to capture the feel, look and sound of an original early 60s Stratocaster, including authentic aging that makes each Custom Shop model unique. The two piece offset-seam alder body features a nitrocellulose finish, while the quartersawn maple neck provides a wonderful playing feel. The Custom Shop 1962 Stratocaster Relic comes with a deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

The quartersawn maple neck with a 60s oval "C" profile sits comfortably in the hand and, together with the 3A rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage frets, offers a perfect balance of comfort and precision. The 7.25"–9.5" compound radius provides both an authentic vintage feel and precise playability in higher registers. High quality components, including a bone nut, vintage synchronized tremolo and vintage style tuners with Fender logo, complete the classic look and ensure reliability and tuning stability.

Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound 60s Strat single coils deliver the classic Stratocaster tone that has influenced music since the 1950s. Thanks to the 5 way switch and Vintage Modified Strat #2Wiring with Greasebucket Tone Control, the 1962 Stratocaster offers a range of vintage sounds. From tight cleans and warm blues tones to assertive crunch, every note is a real treat for the ears.
