The two-piece body made of selected alder was given a Faded Aged Shoreline Gold finish, which conveys a certain vintage touch thanks to the nitrocellulose lacquer. The bolt-on Rift Sawn maple neck with 1962 Jaguar neck profile carries a rosewood fingerboard in AAA quality with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, which enables comfortable handling and is fitted with 22 frets.
The alternative bass cut "Strangle" circuit enables crisper vintage sounds with defined highs.

With two Custom Shop '62 Jaguar single coils in the neck and bridge position, the pure vintage Jaguar sound is made possible, which is defined by present mids and crystal-clear highs. On top of that, the Fender 1964 Jaguar is equipped with a 2-way slide switch that can be set between the conventional circuit and the bass-cut "Strangle" circuit for a crisper vintage sound. This fully retains the iconic Jaguar character and delivers the timeless surf rock sound of the 60s. There are also two separate on/off slide switches for each pickup, providing additional tonal flexibility.
The RSD Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge can be used optimally for shallow vibrato nuances or present surf-rock waves!
