Based on the proven construction since 1950, it has the unique "Smuggler's Cavity" in the body, while classic single coils provide traditional sounds.

The Smuggler's Cavity reduces the weight of the body and provides a unique look, while hand-wound single coils provide the authentic Tele-Twang.

Traditional construction with Smuggler's Cavity

The classic ash body of the Fender 1967 Closet Classic Smuggler's Telecaster is significantly lighter thanks to the "Smuggler's Cavity" under the transparent pickguard (a three-layer replacement pickguard is included), which invites you to store your contraband. This unique Telecaster has a comfortable handling, which is supported by the comfortable playable "Mid '60s Oval C" profile of the screwed, one-piece maple neck.
