For the construction of the Fender 1958 Stratocaster , he Fender Custom Shop uses the traditional wood selection of first-class quality, which in combination with the nitrocellulose Heavy Relic finish creates the best conditions for a lively, appealing sound. Accordingly, the body with its typical "Contour Body " line is made of alder, while the screwed neck is made of one piece maple. With the lavish "1959 C" profile and a fretboard radius of 9.5", it Strat also creates optimum conditions for comfortable playability.
Stratocaster Three hand-wound Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Single Coil pickups are used as pickups on the Fender 2018 Heavy Relic 1958. Equipped with Alnico V magnets and a slightly increased number of windings, they deliver an opulent Vintage sound on the guitar amplifier with a fat bass foundation, smoothly articulated mids and a brilliant glitter in the highs. The pickups are managed using the " Vintage Modified #2" Wiring, which, in addition to the usual 5-way blade switch and two tone controls, places Treble Bleed on the Tone Saver at the volume potentiometer, so that the sound remains clear and transparent even when the volume is reduced.
