With the Fender 2018 Lush Closet Classic 1964 Jaguar Aged Firemist Silver, the Fender Custom Shop presents a detailed reproduction of the top-of-the-line model of the 1960s. Accordingly, the nitrocellulose finish conceals a classic alder body, while the screwed maple neck offers optimum playing comfort thanks to the 24" scale length and'62 Jaguar profile. Two Fender Custom Shop Jaguar pickups, which are managed by the lead and rhythm circuitry, also provide the typical tonal variety. For uninhibited use of the Fender Vintage Floating Tremolo, the Lush Closet Classic 1964 Jaguar also features a modernized Fender RSD bridge and Fender Vintage Style Tuner.
For the design of the Fender 2018 Lush Closet Classic 1964 Jaguar, the Fender Custom Shop relies on traditional specifications. Accordingly, the classic offset body is made of alder, while the screwed neck is made of maple with standing annual rings and carries a rosewood fingerboard. The scaling shortened to 24 inches (610 mm) and the perfectly proportioned"'62 Jaguar" profile guarantee extremely smooth playability. Another absolute highlight is the "Lush CLoset Classic" nitrocellulose finish, which gives the impression of an extremely carefully treated vintage original.
The Fender 2018 Closet Classic 1964 Jaguar features two Custom Shop Jaguar Single Coil Pickups with the characteristically serrated metal bezel for a surprisingly warm yet transparent sound. The sophisticated Jaguar circuit with lead and rhythm circuit also provides a wide range of sounds. In the lead circuit, both pickups can be selected via individual on/off switches and tuned using volume and tone controls. In addition, a "Strangle" switch is available, which cuts off bass and midrange. The Rhythm Circuit, on the other hand, is activated by means of the slide switch in the upper horn and provides the neck pickup with its own volume and tone controls.
Last but not least, the Fender 2018 Lush Closet Classic 1964 Jaguar offers high-quality hardware equipment that combines a traditional vintage look with modern functionality. Accordingly, the strings are guided from the Fender Vintage Floating Tremolo over the Fender RSD Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge, which reliably prevents the strings from jumping out unintentionally during strong strokes or eager use of the vibrato lever. In addition, the bridge has a fold-out string mute for stopped sounds. Fender Vintage Style tuners on the headstock also ensure precise tuning.
