The four-string model features the classic construction of an alder body and screwed, one-piece maple neck, while a Fender Custom Shop Split Coil Pickups with passive electronics are responsible for the sound conversion. Last but not least, the Fender Adam Clayton Precision Bass has a Fender HiMass bridge and Fender/Hipshot tuners.

Adam Clayton wanted classic ingredients for the construction of his Signature electric bass. Accordingly, the body is made of alder in the typical Precision design, while the neck is made of maple with four screws and a maple fingerboard. The "Custom Adam Clayton C" profile with its 38 mm saddle width borrowed from Jazz Bass offers a high level of playing comfort, so that even complex bass lines can be handled without difficulty.
A Fender Custom Shop '60s Precision Bass Split Coil is used as pickup on the Fender Adam Clayton Precision Bass Purple Sparkle. Accordingly, an authentic vintage sound is available at the amplifier, whose rich low midrange growling, abyssal bass and a silky treble spectrum provide the perfect basis for rocking grooves. The traditional passive circuit with a volume control and a treble diaphragm can be used to call up a wide range of timbres.
Furthermore, the Fender Adam Clayton Precision Bass convinces with first-class hardware equipment that combines classic looks with modern functionality. Accordingly, the Fender HiMass bridge sits on the body, which with its solid construction and string guidance through the body guarantees a crisp response and an even sustain development of all strings. The custom shop pick ups sound amazing. I think I’ve finally found my go to bass. DV247 the set up was spot on straight out the case apart from pick up height that needed a slight tweak. Fast delivery and excellent communication. Top class experience and a lot cheaper than buying direct from fender.
